Miles MacKinnon

Miles began his career in the City of London in 1995 at the age of seventeen, working for AXA Sun Life. During this time he worked as an investment consultant specialising in offshore Trusts, bond investments and their tax treatment.

After seven years, Miles moved onto gain further experience in different areas of the financial sector, working for a Merchant Bank, Securities firm and Venture Capitalist.

In 2006 he established Helles LLP, which was a boutique firm in Mayfair that provided corporate structuring consultancy services to UK businesses.

Working as a consultant with Robert Fraser & Partners, he has been involved in the structuring and financing of several international ship wreck and salvage projects. To date, circa £120m has been raised and ten survey projects carried out in different oceans around the world.

In 2012 Miles co-founded MD Capital Partners and Wind Energy Scotland LLP.

Miles was appointed to the Board of the Special Olympics Great Britain in 2010 and is a member of the Company of International Bankers and also the International Tax Planning Association.

Outside of work Miles is an eager sportsman enjoying Tennis, Skiing, Golf and Rugby, having previously played at Harlequins, where he now sits on the committee of the Harlequins Players Association.

He lives outside Chilham in Kent with his wife Kirsty and their three children, Harrison, Scarlett and Rory.

John Dupont


John started his career with Neville Russell Chartered Accountants becoming a qualified Independent Financial Adviser. At twenty one he passed the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, specialising in Taxation & Trusts.

 In 1998, he joined Zurich, spending seven years with the group, becoming one of the firms most successful Broker Consultants.

John joined Manx Trust Management Group in 2005 where he became Sales and Marketing Director of Montpelier Tax Consultants (London) Ltd. 

In 2008 John became actively involved in the renewable energy sector, specifically concentrating on the development of wind farms in Scotland.

In 2010, he co-founded MD Capital Partners LLP and in 2012 co-founded Wind Energy Scotland LLP.

John lives with his wife Emma in Chelsea, London.  He enjoys swimming, shooting and the occasional game of golf.
